Syd Williams: Album Update

In the studio

Hey all.
Been really busy last week and here in the UK our weather system is really screwed up. One minute it's searingly hot and the next minute there's lightning and thunder storms. Oh well, such is life. Just wanted to update all my friends, I now have my own website, took me long enough.. If any of you wish to pay me a visit that would be really cool. I will be working in my studio this week, working on some more tracks that will complete my 2014 album. Hopefully within the next couple of months they should be complete and also visible on my website, here on Blogger, on my Google+ profile and also on my Youtube channel.
Till then, i will post updates here as i progress.

Hey all.
This song is from my 2014 album. I wrote this as a tribute to all the brave men and women,
all over the world who put their lives at great risk so that people like us can live in
freedom, peace and prosperity. So many of them never make it back home. So many of them
return home, less than what they were. All our governments fail miserably in supporting these
heroes. They give their precious lives willingly and very few of us appreciate it.
My only wish is, if somebody, somewhere can promote this song hard enough to generate
sales, then i would give 75% of everything i earn on this track to a war memorial fund for these
brave souls. Here it is :

Gods Of War

Here's a song i wrote last year which is part of my 2013 album, ' Another Life '.
I am crazy about history. Everything about the past fascinates me.
And my love for history is reflected in quite a few of  my songs.
This particular song is dedicated to some of the bravest warriors from a time
so very long ago. this is my tribute to the Scottish Highland Warriors from
Medieval times.

Mission Of Mercy

I made this video quite recently and didn't have any good video footage to accompany the song. Trying to purchase stock video can turn out to be quite an expensive excercise.
Besides, most stock clips are approximately a few seconds long  and one would need to buy quite a few stock clips to complete a 3 to 4 minute track.

Well anyways, i ended up stitching together some still images to generate a theme for the song.

I hope you guys will like it and maybe share it with your friends.
It's such a headache being an independent artist and trying to promote yourself all over the place.
Still, my love for music overrides everything else.

Work in progress

I recently completed the first 5 songs on my new 2014 album called 'Just Being Me'.
Just started making some simple music videos to accompany the 5 tracks. My resources are limited and that's why the videos are quite plain. I'm not that good at making music videos, i am just a simple musician with a lot of songs in my head and that's what i put all my effort into.
I will post the videos for you all to listen and see and maybe you all will become my best critics to help me improve in the areas i lack.
